Date of outing       maximizer, 31-12-07 Oops. the date is 2 Feb, this coming sat. woa!       joe, 31-12-07 woa! suddenly so many things here. hmm. but dear long-ge. when is e clementi outing? u said everything exp e date! haha! n yeah! got outing! i'm still suffering from post-sch-reopen blue =*( L.i.v.e. program @ bryan\'s house       maximizer, 31-12-07 L - Leadership I - Image & Identity V - Values E - Experience Everybody, this is bryan here (using max's account). As you can see, we will be having a class outing which has the above theme (an original idea by me). The purpose of this outing is to eat a great feast for dinner. But in order to do so, we need to lose some fats first. So we will first be meeting at CLEMENTI MRT at 3 o'clock SHARP. Next, we will proceed to my house via BUS. Following which, I would have booked the table tennis room and the hopefully, managed to book the squash court and tennis court. The main game of this outing is table tennis as it has the best facilities (the table tennis room is actually a squash court with a table tennis table in the middle. this ensures that no balls go lost) and its the best place to house everyone. However, the most important factor is that very few people actually book the table tennis room. This means that we are unlikely to get chased out even if we over stay. Also, this outing is not as activity packed as other outings as i feel that it is more of an outing for everyone to get together and talk and have fun over some games. Of course, there will be cards as well so dont worry too much about it. I'm sure this will be a great outing as we have never tried playing some sports. Those interested, please contact max. So far, a quick and random survey has been done and the following people have said that they would go: ME Max Elijah Jun Xiang Wenxi Lenny Jeffrey As for those who cant make it (or dont feel like playing sports), there will be another outing coming soon for CNY, so dont worry. This is just a short outing for everyone to play and have fun together. Btw, the outing will end around 10 plus latest, just in case your parents ask you for details. Main Ensmble Libertango - my favourite...its a tango lahs so can just imagine the guy and the sexy girl dancing with a rose in her mouth Cadiz - cadiz is actually a spanish song after the spanish city cadiz in spain. so its like in the outskirts and quite a relaxing one. but i'm not relaxed at all when i'm playing it cos my hands need to move around alot in like super fast speed =S but i still like it anw quizas quizas quizas - this is the advertisement song "perhaps perhaps perhaps" in some jewellery advertisement... there'll also be Gelato Con Caffe (Gelato = italian ice cream, caffe = caffe, Gelato Con Caffe = a piece about an italian icecream cafe...yummy (= ) Concerto for 4 Harpsichords by Bach (the harpsichord is like the piano's ancestor...i'm not sure if this is right. then this piece was adapted for 4 guitar soloists...so check out how well the guitar can carry off the harpsichord) Grand Solo Concerto...another classical piece HMMM...the observant ones wld have realised tt it clashes with the esther's hall production on the second night (23 feb...how unfortunate). BUT here are top ten reasons why u shld come for BOTH if you can make it...heeheehee 1. after gathering useful pick-up lines from the hall prod on the first night 22nd feb, its time to see the REAL PROS put them into practice! learn useful tunes for serenading to ur loved ones under the moonlight (esp for tone-deaf ppl who cant sing...the guitar wld prove to be pretty effective) 2. NUS guitar ensemble is DIFFERENT! trust me...i used to think that guitar concerts were darn BORING cos there was so little variation in the music. BUT we are a NIIBORI ensemble...meaning we have the small little altos (for ppl like me who have little hands and short fingers and cant stretch our fingers to play our notes correctly), the primes (the conventional guitar that we normally use and see), the basses and contrabasses (i didnt know that there was an instument called the guitaron that looks like and is played like the cello). this combination of funny guitar sizes is tauted to be the reason why VJC managed to be the only school to obtain GOLD with HONOURS for the syf competition cos they were the only JC then to have a niibori ensemble cos they could reach a much greater variation of notes and pitches and whatnot -----> play more interesting pieces. and NUS is the original and first such ensemble in Singapore...so yah...jus a lor sor intro to the ensemble lahs... 3. i'll be playing! lols...yeah not some big-shot director but still a player after all...but there'll be other pros playing! these ppl are so pro they alway always use their laser eyes to shoot me and fry me when they notice i play ONE note wrongly. so music quality can be expected to be good... yalah its a pretty long post alr so i wont bore anyone else with the rest of the 7 reasons...if u need more persuading can also call/sms me. if cant go can understand and wish me luck i dont die of stagefright on stage. if wanna go to hall prod or broke can understand also. but if u have time on 22nd and 23rd feb...and the concert only got one show. yup thanks ppl!! poster       wuyuxian, 31-12-07 ohs. seems like the post was a little vague. For the drama production I talked about, there'll be two plays. The first is an adaptation from "sure thing" by david ives. The author tries to tell you a thing or two about pick up lines or how to strike a conversation with the opposite gender you're interested in. In this play, you will see how the girl and guy take different approaches and how they sometimes fail or succeed. Once they fail, a bell will ring and the scene will repeat itself, with the guy/girl using another approach instead. The other one, entitled BlueSkiesGrey is written by me and another friend. It revolves around a girl who is very insecure about herself and the people around her. The play will follow her through from when she's 13 to 25, portraying the different problems a normal girl may face. A runaway father, bullying, having a teacher you hate in sch, BGR relationship bla bla bla. And sometimes when life gives you these little tinge of pains, it may give a normal girl some de-illusion of what life really is about. Yea, this is what I can say about the plays.
